Ne-Yo

Ne-yo's original name is Shaffer Smith. He was born and raised in a single parent family in Arkansas on October 18 1982. Ne-Yo is a singer and song writer. His first major accomplishment was the song he wrote Let Me Love You which was performed by Mario. This song went up the charts and made Billboard's #1 in R&B for several weeks. He released his first album in 2006 called In My Own Words and reached the top of the charts with the song So Sick. In the same year he had a hand in writting two top ten hits: Beyonce's Irreplaceable and Rihanna's Unfaithful. In May 2007 Ne-Yo released his second album Because Of You and reached number 1 in the Billboard top 200. The following year the album Year Of The Gentleman was issued after writting some more great songs like Rihanna's Take A Bow and Jennifer Hudson's Spotlight. With the songs Closer, Miss Independant and Mad his album Year Og The Gentleman went platinum just like his first two albums. Ne-Yo didn't release another album till 2010 with Libra Scale. An album that was inspired by Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson's most ambitious recordings.
