Eminem was born on October 17 1972, Kansas CIty, Missouri, USA. His real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers. He didn't have a good childhood living with his mother. He was born when his mother was just fifteen and six months after his birrth his dad left and never came back. Marshall started rapping when he was 4 trying to rhyme words together. When he was 14 he started getting serious about rapping but it wasn't till he was 17 where he made a name for himself. he was rejected by his fellow rappers because of his race, he grew an anger about it and put his anger into his rapping.
In 1997 he went to the rap Olympics hoping to win $1,500 but he lost in a slip upand he ended up second. He was pissed that he lost that he didn't notice that a few producers from interscope were watching him.Dr. Dre got a hold of him and made an album with him that won 3 Grammies and was the first rap album to be niminated "Album Of The Year".
He made a movie called "8 Mile" and the song Lose Yourself won an Academy award. this was the first rap song to ever win an Academy award.
